mornings - days when the brain doesn't work

I knew from the second I woke up that today would be a struggle until I got to sleep again in the evening. There would be no ideas, no joy of life, just an attempt to find the easiest tasks to do and the least people to speak to. It would be a slog like playing old football with a ball made of water absorbing pig's bladder and boots made of wood....

The London Underground station Barons Court doesn't have an apostrophie, despite presumabley being the court of the baron, near neighbour Earl's Court does....
