NEW APRIL '00

The river message board, tell me what you think!

NEW FEB '00
A new feature is my thought of the day which will be musings on whatever comes into the mind of an early '00s urbanite.

What is this all about? Well in the editorial I'll be writing articles about environmental issues of the day and inviting debate on them.
It'll be subjective and may well be littered with factual inacurracy but the aim is to air these issues.

I may well move into non environmental issues also we'll see.

I am beginning with a few thoughts on GM food. Also I have now added some thoughts on access to the countryside and the need for a right to roam bill. Virtual politics is the title of another piece which examines the scope for virtual communities to affect traditional politics.
Email me if you want to add things and I'll post them.

Why 'the river'? Well I like them. They give focus to a town, you're either north or south of it. They provide a vital area of space in the congestion of modern urbanity - no cars, no burger chains, no ugly monolithe dreamt up by a 60s architect with a creativity bypass, no...well you get the idea.

Everyone surely has thier favourite river or bridge or moment, don't they? I'll inlcude your in the bridge section ( can be just a river thing doesn't have to include a bridge ) if you want to tell me about them.
Come on you can't have been watching Kilroy ( /Leeza/Springer/Ester ) all your lives, you must have had your own 'waterloo sunsets' or crossed towards the lights of you home town after a long abscence. Tell me about it.

I won an award from the FortuneCity nature district! My thanks.
